We found an old Church for sale in my husband's hometown, and we decided to take an impromptu drive up to check it out. I loved it and wanted to buy it - but reality starts to set it, we don't live up there, and it would take a lot of money to turn it into a home. If the price was lower, I would have bought it and then figured out how to be up there more and work on the renovations.
I still think about that church and wish it was ours.
